Mother's Day Musings

To my little buddy:

Harrison my darling, you are an absolute miracle and joy! You have already brought your Dad and I so much happiness and you are just 3 years old. I never imagined that it was possible to love as much as I love you, your Dad, and of course Miles. ;) In the past year I have been so blessed to watch you blossom from a baby into a boy - my little buddy. You are able to kick a soccer goal like no other 3 year old I have ever seen! You are an expert at puzzles. You prefer to be the boss, have the most spectacular tantrums, but are so quick transition into fits of laughter with the slightest encouragement from your Momma. Your zest for life is awe inspiring. Your empathic nature makes me so proud. You hate to see anyone in pain or sadness and are quick to give words of encouragement "its ok Miles", kisses for owies, and hugs and kisses just to show those most important to you how much you love them.

My wish for you has nothing to do with what job you will have someday, if or where you go to college, if or who you will marry, if or when you will have children.... My wish for you is that you never change all of those things that make me so proud of you today. You are strong, loving, compassionate, determined, energetic, loyal, and kind. Just be you little buddy that is my wish for you.

Loving you forever and always. Your Momma.

Poetry in a snap shot...

This week entailed a little too much work for me and subsequently time away from my best little buddy. This picture (taken from Allison's phone) was so beautiful and touching. I just had to share. I opened it at work and it immediately melted my heart! One of the many things I love so much about Harrison is his ability to "connect". He has a spark in his eye like no one else I know. He has a tender and sympathetic heart. This snap shot is a glimpse of the true Harrison. Enjoy!

Bad dog!

Miles gave us the Monday morning gift of making a run for it in the neighborhood on our way out the door to work! Boo Miles! The best part was Harrison's hysterical laughter - unfortunately I only caught a little bit of that! Dad was not pleased having to carry a muddy bad dog back to the house.

Baby dinosaur eggs!

Harrison peeled one egg completely looking for the baby dinosaur. He loved dying eggs at Ma & Pa's place! Miles, as always, was part of the action!
