Celebrating 3 in our family! (4 counting Miles!)

Limburger!!!!!!!

Ok so everyone knows how common it is to say "cheeeeeeeeeese" when the photo snaps ??? - but who knows to say "Limburgeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeer"! Everyone say Limburger! Harrison picked this up from watching the new release Astro Boy this week. It makes Mark and I laugh every time we hear it. :) A new family tradition perhaps? :) Better than the 'air' spray deoderant picture tradition from Mark and Ted. Many pictures to follow -

Spring has sprung!

And that means time to train my helpers (Harrison & Miles) to help me weed, dig, plant, water, and then no touching! ;)

So long "batman cast"

Today was Harrison's last day in the cast. Bitter sweet when the told us to keep him "mellow" and to be "VERY careful" -- not an easy job!

Harrison counts to 12 but not on this video!

A new character in The Empire Strikes Back?

Who doesn't love the imagination of a toddler?! Star Wars, popcorn, temporary tattoos, and a bowl for a hat? Looks as if The Empire Strikes Back just acquired a new character! :) When a completely ordinary day becomes completely extraordinary by just using a little imagination. It is an amazing thing to experience the world through this little man's eyes. He makes my heart smile!

A little something for all of us to ponder:

"Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand."

-albert einstein

Simplicity

The perfect Sunday for us was a very leisurely morning filled with music, laughter, a dim sum brunch, grocery shopping, house cleaning, and making a meal together. Life IS all about the simple things!

Broken arm - OUCH!

I'm fairly certain Harrison is the most active little boy in the entire world! ;) If he's not running or jumping, he is kicking a ball, climbing something, or just stirring up some run of the mill mischief!

So it wasn't a real surprise that a broken bone may be in our future. But this was just a freak accident. In one moment he went from standing on the arm of the couch to the floor - *snap* just like THAT! No parent EVER wants to hear, see, or experience any of this. And above all... POOR HARRISON!!!

On the way to the hospital we promised Harrison the Imaginext Dinosaur Castle. Amazingly enough after two shots of morphine he said, "where is my dinosaur castle?". He is a tough little egg so after a week of ice and TLC - he was back to his old self. Mom and Dad on the other hand may require some time to heal!

Living in the city but apparently a country dog at heart!

A few weekends ago we were blessed with some beautiful weather in the mid 60s. All of the trees on the esplanade were in full bloom. Beautiful! I packed up Harrison and Miles to walk the esplanade. Miles went crazy over all of the city sounds and ended up riding back to the car on Harrison's lap. Harrison was such a good sport telling Miles to "calm down" and giving him lots of pets. It was quite the scene. Two different people stopped us and asked if they could take our picture. That was a very long 6 miles!

Fun with Uncle Frank

Since Uncle Frank moved to town he loves coming over for "play dates" with Harrison! Harrison is a big fan of Uncle Frank and we almost always get some fantastic photographs afterward.

Future scientist!

One of Harrison's favorite places to go is OMSI! The kid could spend hours there between the playland and all of the exhibits. It truly is an amazing place.

A big thank you to Allison for letting Harrison explore OMSI while Mom works!
